Utkal Karate School, a leading local self-defence, fitness and yoga academy, launched a sports science centre and two modern gymnasiums here at its own complex today. Hockey Olympian and Rajya Sabha Member Dilip Tirkey, who from his LAD Fund had given Rs 20 lakh to the school for construction of sports and rehabilitation centre, inaugurated the infrastructure facilities in the presence of school founder Hari Prasad Pattanayak and Odisha Powerlifting Association secretary Chitta Ranjan Swain.
